1. Agreement Scope & Service Description

LinguaTaal provides an interactive, AI-assisted language learning platform designed for Dutch (NT2, KNM) and other European languages. By registering an account or purchasing a subscription, you enter into a legally binding agreement governed by the laws of the Netherlands.

2. Subscriptions, Pricing & Renewals

Pricing: PRO Monthly (€9.99/mo) and PRO Annual (€89.99/yr, €7.49/mo equivalent). Prices include applicable Dutch VAT (21% BTW).
Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless canceled before the next renewal date.
Cancellation Terms: You may cancel your auto-renewal at any time via your account settings. You will continue to have full access to all PRO features until the end of your current paid billing period.

3. 14-Day Statutory Right of Withdrawal & Digital Content Exception

Under EU Consumer Directive (Article 16(m)), consumers have a general right to withdraw within 14 days without giving reason. However, for digital content delivered immediately online upon purchase:

Explicit Waiver: By purchasing a PRO subscription and requesting immediate access to our digital courses, AI models, and practice tools, you explicitly consent to the immediate performance of the contract and acknowledge that you lose your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal once immediate digital performance has begun.

4. Fair Use & Prohibited Conduct

Users agree not to exploit AI endpoints with automated bots or scrapers, not to bypass rate limits, and to maintain respect in communal video/audio rooms (Praatcafé). Accounts violating platform integrity may be suspended without refund.

5. Applicable Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed solely by Dutch law. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be submitted exclusively to the competent court in Amsterdam, Netherlands, without prejudice to consumer statutory protections.
